“The Child would always remember the Old Man’s caring eyes.”
Câmbio is about a Child who picks up trash and trades it for Bus Tokens, through a City program called the Exchange.
As he cleans up his neighborhood and rides the bus, a magical glow appears around the new people he meets along the way. But the Glow quickly vanishes and doesn’t return for many years, Until one day, it reappears and changes the Child’s entire Neighborhood.
The story contains a message that is relevant to growing local communities in today’s world. The heart of the story shows us a vision of what life could be like when our communities take care of each other and the spaces we live in.
